Search & Rescue Teams (USAR)

SORRY no longer available

Challenge:

Urban Search and Rescue teams are used to working in dirty, confined spaces. Collapsed concrete presents the rescuer with particular issues as rebar is notoriously difficult to cut.

Solution:

‘Dirty breaches’ where rescuers cut into slabs of concrete to reach potential victims are made much easier by the ORC 16 and 19 bar cutters. The HRS932s stubby cutter allows teams to cut rebar very close to the concrete thereby making movement through the breached concrete much safer. The 6 tonne mini-cutter is ideal for any hollow section pipes, tubes, angle iron and sheet steel found whilst searching for victims and casualties. The compact 4 tonne spreader allows for precise spreading with real control during extrication.
