Protester Release

Ogura Battery Powered Rescue Tools

Challenge:

Protester release is a relatively new discipline which requires tact and delicate negotiation. Road, environmental or political protesters are thinking of ever more ingenious and awkward ways to chain, clamp and lock themselves to immovable objects, thus making the law enforcement officer's job very demanding.

Solution:

‘U’ locks are the protester’s favourite. These are easily cut with the ORC19. Chains and padlocks can be removed with the HRS932s stubby cutter or HRS933 bar cutter. An interesting feature of the HRS933 bar cutter is the control bolt. This can be used to control the material being cut to lessen the chance of injury. The 4 tonne spreader has very narrow tips which allow intricate spreading in close proximity to the demonstrator.
