SAFETY BUMPERS: Applications: High reach forklifts, freely moving systems and everywhere where the safety systems require large from alterations.
When running against an obstacle, the short response time of the bumper initiates an immediate controller stop, while the bumper's soft foam core provides a long braking and run out path. This provides optimum protection for individuals and materials.
Construction and Function: The safety bumper consists of a foam core glued to an aluminum bearer profile and covered with vulcanized polyurethane or NBR rubber. The cover provides excellent protection against damage and moisture.
A safety contact strip is located in the interior of the Safety Bumper and is activated when the bumper is compressed. This information is process by the evaluation electronics and leads to the immediate stop of all movements,. Because the bumper is activated under even low pressure loads, the selection of a suitable bumper ensures even inertial systems will stop safely. The evaluation electronics also continuously monitors the bumper for wire breaks and defects.
SAFETY CONTACT MATS: Applications: This quick action contact making mat is ideal in hazardous areas of working machinery. EG: Presses, robots and other types of swiveling equipment.
Working the mat triggers a control signal to the immediate-stop device of the potentially hazardous motion. This quick action contact making is made possible by surface area switch on the inside of the mat that is encased in polyurethane to ensure impermeability to water. A platform made of plastic or metal serves as the carrier. The surface can be protected by adhesion-bonding an anti slip rubber covering to thereby give high grip to the surface. Special evaluation equipment monitors the switch function of this device according to the closed circuit current principle. In special cases, contact mats can also be used as switch mats, for example to control automatic doors.
